What’s different about BCI Cotton?
Most Better Cotton is sourced using a mass balance system, which supports better farming practices but doesn’t guarantee that the cotton in your t-shirt came from a certified farm.
Physical BCI Cotton changes that.
It’s traceable all the way from the country of origin to the finished products. It requires the cotton to be kept separate—and traceable—at every step of the supply chain, from the country of origin to the spinning mill to the final garment.
What it means for you and your customers
When a product is made with Physical BCI Cotton, it means that all of the cotton in that product has been grown by farmers who are certified to the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) Farm Standard. Physical BCI Cotton gives you verified, transparent sourcing across the cotton supply chain.
